The Number 4 Bus<\/strong><\/p>\n

A middle age woman gets on my bus in the middle of winter and is obviously from another country and does not speak very good english. The bus gets crowded and this teenager starts talking in a hostile manner after a while.<\/p>\n

Teenager: What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s yo problem<\/p>\n

Visiting Woman: I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m sorry<\/p>\n

Teenager: (Very Angry) You keep looking at us you.<\/p>\n

Visiting woman: I<\/p>\n

Teenager: You better keep your eyes in your own business.<\/p>\n

Visiting Woman: I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m sorry, It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s just I not seen many Africans, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m from Finnland.<\/p>\n

Teenager: (Surprised) You don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have Africans where you are from?<\/p>\n

Visiting Woman: No, are they all like you?<\/p>\n

Teenager: (Very pissed and Defensive) Whadya mean?<\/p>\n

Visiting Woman: So beautiful<\/p>\n

Teenager: (Shocked) I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, Maybe.<\/p>\n

Visiting Woman: I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m Ansa<\/p>\n

Teenager drops her anger and sits next to Ansa, they talk and laugh all the way downtown and my faith in humanity is restored.<\/p>\n
